Looks like the buzz over the Obama for America seal has generated some legitimate uproar, and the Obama campaign is poised to retire it altogether.
Widely mocked (here, here and here, to cite but a few of the items that wryly took note it), the intrepid Marc Ambinder of TheAtlantic.com reports that the insignia will be consigned to some closet to gather dust.
He writes: “I’m told that Obama recognizes that it was a silly mistake, that the universal reaction at (his Chicago headquarters) was, “Boy, was that dumb.’ “
Some things, I guess, were just never meant to be.
On a side note, Conservemus’s post generated a lot of traffic for NeoConstant. Tracking back to some of it, I have to say I’m apalled at the level of dialogue on some forums. If I ever have to read another comment that describes Obama as an ape again I think I will be physically ill. Just really disgusting, ignorant, despicable crap. If anyone feels that way that happens to be reading this post you can go fuck yourself, and preferably with a sharp object.

Obama is a racist and should never have been running for president, yet even be in the senate. This clown is bad news for our country.
