Laying Down for Islamo-fascists

OK, look, I’ve had it. Enough of this crap is enough! When will the world, INCLUDING the United States, stop laying down under the threats of Islamo-fascism? A couple of years ago, most American newspapers (if they can still call themselves that), totally chickened-out on printing the Danish cartoons depicting the supposed-prophet mohammed with a bomb hidden in his turban. Why? For fear of Muslim reprisal. How ridiculous!
As I pointed out in an article then, they sure didn’t have a problem showing a picture of the Virgin Mother Mary painted with elephant crap. Nor was it beyond their high moral standards to show pictures of the masterpiece of a crucifix which had been dipped in urine and called “Piss Christ.” Yet they refuse this other stuff, which has much more validity.
I think the only real reason the Muslims got mad about the whole bomb-turban thing was that it unwittingly revealed plans for their next attack.
So, here I am, catching up on news at CNSNews.com, when I come across an article called, “Internet Co. Suspends Web Site for Film Critical of Islam” by Patrick Goodenough. And I just can’t help having flashbacks to a couple of years ago when all the American “Free Speech” press refused to show the cartoons of islamo-fascists, as it was just too disturbing.
Apparently, a U.S.-based internet company has pulled the plug on airing a fifteen-minute film made by a Dutch lawmaker. The film was supposedly made to identify links between the koran and islamic terrorism.
The CNSNews article describes it this way: “At the weekend, however, the hosting company, Virginia-based Network Solutions, replaced the screen with a message saying it had received ‘a number of complaints’ about the site and had suspended it while investigating whether the ‘content’ violated its acceptable-use policy.”
What a load of dung. Apparently, news reports of the impending film had gotten a bunch of radicals’ underwear in a knot, and they began demonstrating in several Islamic countries. There were reports from the Dutch and other governments about a possible violent backlash to the fifteen-minute documentary. My question: SO WHAT???
So, these idiots can go out and burn cars and government buildings without public condemnation, but one man can’t make a documentary on what he sees as a connection between the Koran and Islamic terror? What is this world coming to?
In defending its action to pull the brief movie from the site, Network Solutions cited its “acceptable-use policy,” which, apparently consists of “a broad prohibition on obscene or harmful material that includes ‘hate propaganda’ and anything ‘profane, indecent or otherwise objectionable.’”
Otherwise objectionable??? That’s just another way of saying, “We want to be able to yank anything we want without having to give a reason.” That is absurd, shameless, and cowardly.
I’m telling you, these terrorists are like kids. Once you give in to the least of their demands, they will be back with greater demands, and you will give in to them again. I certainly hope that Network Solutions will re-think this decision.
